Clean Sweep is a major capstone and indie game title I’m currently developing with a team of fellow students, where the player controls a crew of humanoid cleaning products as they protect the town of Cleanland, Ohio from invading germs. The game features a blend of action-packed combat and social simulation.

Contributions

  • Designed all gameplay elements and game loop for both combat system and social simulation sections
  • Programmed capsule based hitbox system tool that can attach to animations
  • Designed and Programmed all character movesets and abilities
  • Designed and Programmed token-based attack system and behavior trees for different enemy types
  • Designed and Balanced game levels and game progression

What I learned

  • I learned how to work within a full, long term game development pipeline: designing features, communicating design goals with the rest of the team, and implementing art assets.
  • Learned how to construct an entire, modular combat system that can fit the needs of a large scale project.
